Our topic is horse racing (mainly thoroughbred horse racing)
Our question is whether or not the animal cruelty exhibited in horse racing is strong enough to warrant legislative restrictions.
Subquestions:
Why, exactly, is racing so dangerous to these specific horses?
Why are there so many deaths in thoroughbred racing?
Who is calling for reform? Why?
Are there any underlying issues, besides the deaths of horses, that plague the industry?
